William Hill continues support for the Political Animals
The Political Animals have announced that William Hill is continuing its support for the UK politicians’ rugby league club.
The club enables politicians of all levels to play rugby league and showcase the sport both on and off the field. William Hill sponsored the club over the previous season and, after recognising one of the challenges facing the Animals was a lack of kit for opposition, provided two kits for the club.
On making the announcement, the Animals’ Club Captain, Leeds North West MP Greg Mulholland, said “We’re grateful for William Hill’s continued support. Just like any other club, we have costs to meet and their help goes a long way in enabling us to meet our goals of spreading rugby league to political and other audiences.”
William Hill’s Head of Public Affairs, Lewis Rogers, added “William Hill is very pleased to be able to continue support the Political Animals. Rugby league is an important part of our offering and we are just as keen on the sport growing. Like rugby league, William Hill shops are often an integral part of the community and we do a great deal to support our customers and their community. By working with the Political Animals we can showcase this work.
The Animals next game is on the morning of the Rugby League World Cup Final, 30 November, against a World XIII side comprising officials from High Commissions and rugby league administrators from around the world. The match is being played at Leigh Sports Village, kick-off 10am.
