Political Animals announce MyClubBetting.com as major sponsor
Politicians’ rugby league team, the Political Animals, has announced MyClubBetting.com as the Club’s major sponsor for 2014/2015.
Betting Partners of the Rugby League World Cup 2013 and Super League Clubs Leeds Rhinos, Castleford Tigers, Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, Hull Kingston Rivers, The Red Devils and Huddersfield Giants, MyClubBetting.com provides income for rugby league clubs by providing betting websites integrated with the club’s own website. 20% of the bookmakers’ net revenue is returned to the club
In addition, grass roots amateur clubs receive free kit and equipment, depending on the number of members who sign up and use the service, which is not restricted to club size or sport.
Making the announcement was Club Captain, and recently-capped Great Britain Rugby League Masters player, Leeds North West MP Greg Mulholland. He said: “The Political Animals welcome MyClubBetting.com as our major sponsor for this season. Their model enables clubs at all levels to generate revenue from sport betting, something that politicians have been looking into for some time”.
Clive Hudson, Councillor for the Stanley and Outwood East Ward in Wakefield Council and a Political Animals playing captain added “The Political Animals is an important club; it enables politicians of all parties and at all levels to experience rugby league on the field and take the game to decision makers. Like us, MyClubBetting.com is giving something back to the communities rugby league serves and we are grateful for their support”.
Neil Riches, Chief Executive Officer for MyClubBetting.com, said: “MyClubBetting.com is proud to be the major sponsor of the Political Animals. Until now, betting firms made money on sport but returned very little into those sports. Our model facilitates a new revenue stream for all clubs from grass roots to the professional game. We are delighted that the Political Animals see value in our work and we look forward to raising as much money as possible for all sports, including rugby league clubs, throughout the U.K. and Ireland.
